Welcome to my new Blog...
There are thousands of blogs, thousands of voices. Mine is but one voice--one melody playing in this great hall. But you have found me...and that is significant. It doesn't matter that my words are found in this obscure place, because "beauty is not obscure to the one who finds it!"
Adventure is calling to the wild and untamed
The King is calling to me, calling my name
My heart is crying out for the challenge
And I will not be held back!
I will take my journey off the trail
And I will track the steps of my King
I will find new land to claim
I will expand the kingdom borders
Adventure is calling to the wild and untamed
Nothing is certain—nothing is safe
But I revel in the fear; I glory in Him
And I will not be held back!
I have my orders from the King
And I will not settle in the city
I set out to find the buried gold that belongs to me
I will ride uncharted waters in search of treasure
And I will climb hidden mountains to discover the Kingdom!
This is my life: to explore the unknown.
I don’t need you to understand me
Just come with me or let me go…
If I stay here, there is no need for my strength
If I stay here, there is no need for my song
If I stay here, there is no need for my Savior
If I stay here, there is no need.
I will go where my strength is needed
I will travel to where they can hear my song
And I will risk destruction if my Savior doesn’t come
I will not be held back! I will not be held back!
Adventure IS calling to me...and I am going!
I leave on Saturday, June 30th for a 10 day solo motorcycle ride from VA to MI. My 43rd birthday is coming up, and my husband asked me what I want for a present. Jewelry would be nice, new clothes, maybe a party…but what I REALLY want is to take off on the motorcycle and see where God and I end up! My trip to Athens, Georgia last year changed my life. (you can read the article as soon as it is published in Today's Christian Woman-Jul/Aug issue) I want to experience the freedom and the tremendous personal challenge again. I’m sure this trip will bring unexpected circumstances, not-so-random meetings, and a chance to see God in a whole new light as we travel!
Have you ever been on an adventure with God? Tell me about it! I'd love to hear your stories!
